You’ve seen Chad Szeliga slay the drums with Breaking Benjamin, Black Label Society and Black Star Riders. You may even know that Chad’s formative development came from playing Jazz… The side of Chad you may not know is the sensitive, paternal drummer that is determined to balance rockstardom with family life. A decade ago, Chad provided me some kind guidance for my son Kaleb, and our conversation might just impart some guidance and light for a few of you out there, too!

Andrew Greene had a great idea to bring a collective of some drummer buds together to chat all things comical, serious and everything in-between as we wait out the COVID-19 Pandemic to get back onstage. Part of a planned series, episode 1 features Jason Fellman, Mike Collins, Kyle Baltus and Kenny Davis. Andrew will co-host this fun conversation, taking questions from the peanut gallery. Send in your favorite drummer jokes!

As Jason stated in the conversation, we need to focus on keeping Venues afloat in order to have a place for our audience to attend and bands to perform! Check this out and participate:

Donna’s birthday is today, ladies and gentlemen! We will do an All Access Live conversation to celebrate the wonder that is Mrs. McVay. I’ve adored this fierce singer with the warmest heart since the day we first met. Please celebrate with us as we discuss her musical history, and how she manages to front SEVERAL tributes to Heart, Pat Benatar, Linda Ronstadt, Fleetwood Mac and more!

Most rockers first spotted Mike D on the silver screen in “Decline of the Western Civilization Pt 2: The Metal Years” as a member of Lizzy Borden. These days, Mike slays the bass for Dramarama, Halford and Gene Loves Jezebel. An LA staple, Mike is a real man, willing to share his heart along with his spirit. Come rawk with us!

The first time I saw Chris wailing on the drum kit with 80s megapop band Berlin, it was nearly 20 years ago. Everything about the way this guy plays is impressive, and then when you meet him: he’s all that and more in personality. A great-hearted friend, I can’t wait to catch up with Chris and talk about life changes, rockin’ the road w/ a family, and the many hats he wears to keep music in the forefront of his life.

Steve created a magical annual 80s getaway – 80s in the Sand (previously in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, moving to Cancun, Mexico this Fall!). The “Sanders” community that his week-long experience created has become one of my favorite groups of humans I’ve ever encountered. Steve and I will chat about partying with Sammy Hagar, crazy 80s adventures past/present/future, and our arm-wrestling over Downtown Julie Brown. Live, on All Access Live!

Send an email to Info@80sinthesand.rocks and mention the All Access Live discount & they’ll hook you up for this year’s event in Cancun! Check out http://thesands.rocks!

Do you think you know a lot of people in your community? Probably not in comparison to Kevin Hahn. Kev’s a jack-of-all-trades AND a master of most! His infectious smile and limitless talents make him one of the most enjoyable humans to know. We’ve toured together on SO MANY different gigs, and have hilarious stories to go along with ‘em. From singer to producer to engineer to guitarist to songwriter, ?it seems there’s nothing Kevin can’t do REALLY well in this business. The plan is to let the laughs take us where they will, but we can’t leave out stories of him producing tracks for Scorpions in his studio, and how to promote a “free rock show”.

Rock/Country star/talent agent/business-builder, Chad Bourquin and I first met last year when he brought A Flock of Seagulls into Kansas City for a gig. We hit it off right away, first because of his killer eyeglasses, then because of his dynamic personality. He’s been a successful artist using phenomenal business skills, and is determined to share those chops with other bands wanting to make more money. We’ll rap about the “Play Music Make More” program, his Dream Big Series podcast, juggling music with a (delightful) family, and how to not only survive in a tough industry, but to thrive!

One of my first arch-rivals, Jim and I were 2 Montanans aiming for the stars. Before I actually knew him, I wanted to crush his spirit. Then Facebook brought us together, and he’s one of my favorite humans on the planet. Sigh… teenagers! Now Jim’s a reputed schoolteacher in the Midlands in the United Kingdom, active in his community and continues to inspire kids musically and intellectually. We’re gonna geek out about the old days, and you can come make fun of us if you’d like to.
