ALL ACCESS LIVE — TODD LA TORRE OF QUEENSRŸCHE!

Get ready for a conversation with one of the most powerful and distinctive voices in modern heavy metal!

I’m excited to welcome Todd La Torre, lead vocalist of legendary progressive metal band Queensrÿche, for a special LIVE edition of ALL ACCESS LIVE WITH KEVIN RANKIN!

Since joining Queensrÿche in 2012, Todd has helped usher in an exciting new chapter for a band whose influence on hard rock and progressive metal is undeniable. With his incredible vocal range, commanding stage presence and deep appreciation for the band’s musical legacy, Todd has proven himself to be an extraordinary addition to the Queensrÿche story.

But Todd’s musical journey started long before Queensrÿche.

He first gained international attention as the lead vocalist for legendary progressive metal band Crimson Glory, following in the footsteps of the late, great Midnight. His work with Crimson Glory helped establish his reputation as one of metal’s most impressive vocal talents.

In 2012, an unexpected opportunity changed everything. After connecting with Queensrÿche guitarist Michael Wilton, Todd found himself performing classic Queensrÿche material with the musicians who helped create it. What began as the Rising West project ultimately led to Todd becoming the band’s official lead vocalist.

Since then, he’s recorded four studio albums with Queensrÿche:

– Queensrÿche (2013)
– Condition Hüman (2015)
– The Verdict (2019)
– Digital Noise Alliance (2022)

Todd also released his critically acclaimed solo debut, Rejoice in the Suffering, in 2021, showcasing another dimension of his songwriting and musical identity.

Todd is also an accomplished drummer and multi-instrumentalist. During the recording of The Verdict, he took on the additional challenge of performing the album’s drum tracks himself!

In this LIVE conversation, we’ll get into:

– His early musical influences and journey into heavy metal
– Joining Crimson Glory and following the legacy of Midnight
– The unexpected opportunity that brought him to Queensrÿche
– His remarkable vocal range, technique and approach to performing demanding material night after night
– His dual talents as a vocalist and drummer
– What’s next for Queensrÿche and Todd’s musical ambitions

Queensrÿche has spent more than four decades building one of the most respected catalogs in progressive metal, with landmark albums, worldwide touring and songs that have influenced generations of musicians.

Now we get to hear directly from the man carrying that legacy forward.
