Heidi has worked as a Children’s Librarian with Timberland Regional Library, Kitsap Regional Library, and Lopez Island Library. Before that, she worked with homeless and immigrant youth, taught at a preschool, and acted with a traveling Shakespearean troupe. Wherever she is, she encourages kids to follow their natural curiosity in learning, whether it be through storytime, theater, robotics, or understanding the natural world. She is excited to bring what she’s learned to libraries and schools in the Puget Sound area. She lives in Olympia, Washington with her dog Maggie, and husband Jason. She loves them all, not necessarily in that order.
