SUMMARY:OINGO BOINGO'S JOHNNY "VATOS" HERNANDEZ
DESCRIPTION:Johnny “Vatos” and I have shared the stage many a time\, celebrating the sounds and vibe of the 80s. We’ll discuss the crazy ride that goes along with being a drummer in an iconic band! \nJohnny “Vatos” Hernandez’s professional drumming career began at age seventeen with a USO tour to South Vietnam. At nineteen\, he was playing in local big bands\, the LACC Studio Jazz Band and the Si Zenter Big Band. During the same time\, Hernandez played in a variety of pit orchestras and backing acts\, like Bob Hope\, Billy Daniels and Gordon McCray. In the 1970s\, he played with The Helen Reddy Band and served as the house drummer of “The Midnight Special” television show. There\, he played with acts such as Frankie Avalon\, Petula Clark\, Keith Carradine and Martin Mull. When Helen Reddy hosted “The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson\,” Hernandez had the honor of sitting in with The Doc Severinsen Band. Playing the famous opening theme song was a lifelong thrill. \nAfter having been heard drumming with Toni Basil’s band by composer Danny Elfman and his longtime orchestrator Steve Bartek\, Hernandez was hired as a session drummer on Elfman’s first film score\, “The Forbidden Zone” (which continues to have a worldwide cult following). Hernandez joined the original lineup of the famous band\, Oingo Boingo\, a position he held for seventeen years\, until their breakup in 1995. During that time\, the band released eight albums\, toured the world and played thousands of concerts. \nAfter the breakup of Oingo Boingo\, Hernandez joined the band\, Tito and Tarantula and was featured in the Robert Rodriguez film\, “From Dusk Till Dawn.” He had a rewarding time\, touring Europe with Tito until 911\, but at that point\, he decided to return to Los Angeles to play jazz again. In the 1990s\, Hernandez returned to regular session work for composers\, like Jason Johnson\, Steve Bartek and Bear McCreary. He was the drummer for Bear McCreary’s hugely popular “Battlestar Galactica” live orchestra concerts. \nFor the past several years\, Hernandez has been touring with his own Boingo Dance Party\, a high energy\, wild Oingo Boingo music show that features former members of Oingo Boingo. Hernandez is also drummer for the Don Kubec Big Band and recently formed his own avant-garde group\, Vlatko\, featuring composer and arranger\, Michael Vlatkovich on trombone (with whom Hernandez has played professionally for the past forty years). Vlatkovich is one of the leading talents among the Los Angeles improvisational scene. Playing unrestricted free style music always will be good for Hernandez’s soul. \nIn November 2012\, Hernandez received the esteemed “Los Angeles Certificate of Recognition Award” from the Los Angeles City Council. \nBrought to you by Five Star Guitars

SUMMARY:ALL ACCESS LIVE with PAUL SHORTINO (ROUGH CUTT/QUIET RIOT)
DESCRIPTION:https://youtu.be/6bGNXnCnSDs \nVeteran hard rocker Paul Shortino\, best known for his high-profile work fronting Rough Cutt and Quiet Riot\, is a vocal master in the tradition of Paul Rodgers and Robert Plant\, two of his all-time heroes.  Rich\, expressive and bluesy\, his intense lead vocals are delivered with the inspired fervor of a true rock ‘n’ roll believer.  And that he is\, as proved quite consistently over the last two decades with a diverse string of independent projects. Today\, when not writing and recording new material with which to showcase his pedigreed pipes\, Shortino is developing and producing new artists for MusicWorks Entertainment (and its new label Rock Quarry Records)\, the firm he co-founded in 1997 with fellow musician and close friend J.T. Garrett. \nFar beyond the realm of hard rock notoriety\, Shortino is renowned for a quite different—but related—performance.  In the early days of Rough Cutt\, when Wendy Dio was first championing the band\, a casting company rep caught them at L.A.’s famed Troubadour nightclub. Paul was called in to audition\, and\, decked out in fly white leather duds—“Oh\, yeah\,” he remembers them saying when they took in his rock-star splendor–and before you could shout ‘crank it to 11\,’ Shortino was cast in cinema’s quintessential rock flick\, the 1984 rockumentary This Is Spinal Tap.  As the notorious Duke Fame\, he’s seen en route to his own sold-out “Enormodome” concert\, strutting past Spinal Tap in what’s supposedly a Memphis hotel—“in actuality a Burbank Holiday Inn\,” says Paul. Fame’s manager\, played by Howard Hesseman\, snubs the Tap with the classic line\, “We’d love to stand around and chat\, but we gotta sit down in the lobby [and] wait for the limo.” \nIn real life\, Paul Shortino has been making music as long as he can remember\, and has more than seen his fair share of the dramatic ups and downs of the industry.  Having the chance to so memorably spoof the rock ‘n roll circus is priceless to him\, albeit at the time he played Fame\, he was just coming into his own considerable spotlight.  It was a journey that began in suburban Ohio\, when\, at age 6\, Shortino started to learn the standards in harmony with his mom\, also a singer.  When his parents split in his early teens\, Paul moved to southern California with his mother.  He took up guitar and bass and began playing (underage) in Glendale area clubs with other aspiring musician friends. \nShortino’s first professional recording was as one half of the duo Paul & JoJo on the 1971 Snuff Garrett-produced single “Follow Me\,” released on Bell Records\, home to artists including the 5th Dimension\, The Partridge Family\, and Al Green.  The song saw some chart action\, but the label didn’t work it\, focusing instead on other breaking hits and bigger-name acts. Paul began singing and playing rock ‘n’ roll in clubs all over L.A.\, mostly cover material\, but some original songs as well.  As L.A.’s burgeoning hard rock hey-day coalesced during the late ’70s and early ’80s\, Shortino became a fixture in the scene’s ground zero\, the Sunset Strip.  It was here that the nucleus of Rough Cutt came together\, originally featuring guitarists Jake E. Lee\, who went on to fame with Ozzy Osbourne\, and Craig Goldy\, who did likewise with  Giuffria and Dio. \nFollowing inclusion on a KLOS-FM compilation of L.A.’s hottest unsigned bands\, and concerts across the U.S. and in Europe and Japan\, Rough Cutt was signed to Warner Bros. Records in 1984.  Comprised of Shortino on vocals\, Amir Derakh & Chris Hager on guitar\, David Alford on drums\, and Matt Thorne on bass\, their self-titled debut was released the following year.  Produced by Tom Allom (Judas Priest\, Def Leppard\, The Strawbs)\, Rough Cutt exploded with the band’s hook-heavy\, blues-inflected metal roar—lead by Shortino’s potent vocals–and delivered acclaimed rockers including “Take Her” and “Cut Your Heart Out.”  Soon after its release\, Rough Cutt opened for Dokken and Dio at the L.A. Forum\, and Paul remembers it as an incredible affirmation—“I’d seen Led Zeppelin there when I was a boy\, and I always wanted to play the Forum. It was like a dream come true.” \nWants You! followed in ’86\, produced by the legendary Jack Douglas (John Lennon\, Aerosmith\, Cheap Trick\, Alice Cooper\, etc.).  “It was amazing working with him\,” says Shortino\, adding\, “he shared with me about how Steven Tyler wrote\, and it helped me develop my own songwriting\, especially in how to best draw from personal experiences.” Less metal-skewed and more a straight-ahead hard rock onslaught—in the vein of contemporaries Motley Crue and Bon Jovi—Rough Cutt’s second outing again drew raves from rock fans (many of whom now see the band as one of the ’80s’ best kept secrets).  They also spent many months traversing the U.S. and circling the globe on major arena tours\, including Dio’s 1986 “Sacred Heart” jaunt\, one of the highest grossing of the era. \nIt was during a Rough Cutt tour of Japan that Paul made the decision to part ways with the band because of internal differences about what direction their music should take. Quiet Riot happened to be touring Japan at the same time\, and had recently let go their longtime vocalist\, Kevin DuBow.  Rough Cutt’s then-manager Wendy Dio introduced Shortino to Quiet Riot\, and engineered a deal for him to step in as their new lead singer (the remaining members of Rough Cutt went on to release an album under the name Jailhouse). In addition to his vocal mastery on Quiet Riot’s 1989 album QR\, Shortino co-wrote every one of the disc’s 11 tracks\, three of which—“The Joker\,” “Stay With Me Tonight\,” and “Callin’ The Shots”– made it onto the band’s 1996 Greatest Hits compilation.  The intention was to do a second album with the Shortino-fronted line-up\, but despite promising collaborations with Tommy Lee and Russ Ballard\, internal strife\, label politics and litigation derailed it\, and Shortino moved on. \nGoing forward\, Paul opted to develop projects on his own\, often mixing it up with a veritable hard rock “who’s who” of virtuoso players\, as well as with his own Germany-based Shortino Band.  Venturing into a diverse array of endeavors suited Shortino\, and it’s the career model he’s stayed with up to the present.  In 1989\, just after Quiet Riot\, Paul recorded sessions for a blues-heavy rock project under the name Badd Boyz\, also featuring bassist Sean McNabb (Great White\, Quiet Riot)\, and guitar ace Mitch Perry\, released in 1994.  Recorded later\, but out prior to it—in ’93—was Back On Track\, Paul’s first collaboration with guitarist JK Northrup\, which MusicWorks/Rock Quarry has put out as a limited edition 10th anniversary reissue. Recorded at northern California’s Prairie Sun Studio—“it used to be a chicken farm\,” Paul says—the disc’s “Bye Bye To Love” was a particular favorite.  Still in sync after all these years\, the duo’s second joint venture is 2004’s Afterlife. \nWith his own band—who toured extensively in Europe throughout the ‘90s—Shortino released 1997’s It’s About Time—featuring his son Pauly on vocals on the moving track “Love Of My Life”—and the 1999 live CD Booked\, Toured…Released! Also during this time\, Paul met J.T. Garrett at an L.A. recording studio.  A friendship clicked immediately\, deepened by the fact that it was a bond that eased Shortino through the pain of his father’s death. Both were looking for new ventures\, and they first pooled their talents for the blues-rock album Stand Or Fall\, by Paul Shortino & The Rhythm Junkies\, released in 1999.  Paul and J.T. wrote or co-wrote over half of the tracks\, which feature a host of Shortino’s past compatriots\, including Rough Cutt alumnae David Alford\, Amir Derakh and Matt Thorne. \nThe making of Stand Or Fall convinced Shortino that learning to produce records was essential for the creative visions he had in mind\, and he immersed himself in becoming a ProTools expert.  Soon after\, he and Garrett invested in their own studio\, and MusicWorks/Rock Quarry was born.  Completely on his own terms\, Shortino devoted his heart and soul to the recording of Sacred Place\, a spiritually-infused hard rock manifesto whose sound Shortino has compared to “Plant & Page meet Soundgarden meet Aerosmith.” The disc does indeed spotlight ex-Aerosmith ace Jimmy Crespo on guitar\, along with all-stars including Carlos Cavazo (Quiet Riot)\, Chuck Wright (House Of Lords)\, and Howard Leese (Heart\, Paul Rodgers).  Shortino originally envisioned the project as a potential Rough Cutt reunion\, which never came to be. What did materialize was a set that Shortino believes is his finest work to date\, released in 2002 as Paul Shortino’s The CUTT\, Sacred Place. and the hit rocker “Freedom\,”. \nIn 2009  Shortino released “Chasing My Dream”\, a collaboration with world reknown producer Michael Voss (Scorpions\, Michael Shcenker). Shortino adds\, “The  tracks are amazing. I have a renewed inspiration to write and record music that comes from within.” \nThe next release from Shortino will be as the lead vocalist for King Kobra\, on their recently completed new CD\, due out in February 2011.  The band features all the original members\, Carmine Appice\, David Henzerling\, Johnny Rod\, Mick Sweda and Shortino replacing Mark Free on lead vocals. \nKing Kobra recently digitally released the track “Monsters and Heroes”\, a song dedicated to the late Ronnie James Dio\, a close friend and mentor to Shortino\, and all royalties made from the track are being donated to The Ronnie James Dio Cancer Fund.

SUMMARY:DRUMMING LEGEND KEN MARY ROCKS ALL ACCESS LIVE
DESCRIPTION:“I always knew I wanted to play drums\, even as a kid. I would bang pencils on the desks in school until the teachers took them away!” – Ken K Mary \nKen Mary began his career as a professional musician at the age of age of 15 in Seattle\, WA. Over the years\, Ken’s resume and discography has grown to include an incredible and wide ranging list of artists and records that have been associated with his drumming\, producing\, writing and singing skills\, and recordings featuring his talents have combined sales of well over 5 million copies worldwide. Ken has recorded and performed with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Alice Cooper\, The Beach Boys\, and Gene Simmons of Kiss. He has been a member of Fifth Angel\, Alice Cooper\, House of Lords\, and Flotsam and Jetsam\, toured with German metal legends Accept\, and has appeared on recordings of multimillion selling artists including Don Dokken\, Kip Winger\, Jordan Rudess\, Impelliteri\, Bonfire\, and many other artists including Bad Moon Rising\, Chastain\, and Northern Light Orchestra. \nKen is considered one of the top drummers in the world\, with drumming influences that include a diversity of playing styles and drummers such as Buddy Rich\, Louie Bellson\, Neil Peart\, John Bonham\, Steve Gadd\, and Tommy Aldridge. He began his drum studies with Seattle area jazz and fusion drum instructor Dick Stensland\, who was so impressed with Ken’s natural skills that he taught him lessons for free when Ken was no longer able to afford lessons. Ken began playing drums with traditional grip\, but plays just as easily with matched grip. His style can range from the very technical\, to laying down a very solid groove and feel\, to playing an almost “floating” jazz interlude. He is considered one of the early forerunners of very fast double bass drum fills that incorporate use of interwoven hands and feet\, as evidenced by his early session work with Alice Cooper\, House of Lords\, and Bonfire. Mega-platinum Producer Michael Wagener (Metallica\, Alice Cooper\, Janet Jackson) states\,”Ken Mary is a brilliant session and live player. Whether it is blazing fast and precise technical playing or just a great sense of groove\, he’s your guy. One of the best.” \nA review of the first House of Lords self-titled album in Modern Drummer garnered this glowing review of Ken’s playing\, ”A major reason for their (House of Lords) originality\, if not the major reason\, is Ken Mary’s drumming. Unquestionably\, he is the best hard rock drummer in America today. Nobody plays like Ken Mary” and further\, “Want to learn something? See these guys live\, buy this album and pay attention to Mr. Mary.” \nFamed producer Andy Johns\, who engineered classic albums by Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones\, and who was famous for firing many famous drummers on his productions\, loved Ken’s playing Bassist Chuck Wright recalls. “At the end of Ken recording a very Bonham inspired drum track for ‘Can’t Find My Way Home\,’ Andy grabbed Ken\, put him in a headlock (Andy was a very large man at 6”3”) and said to him repeatedly\, “You and Bonham\, man\, you and Bonham.” Ken adds\, “Since Bonham was an inspiration to my playing\, and Andy had recorded him so many times\, this was one of the biggest compliments of my life. That and the fact that he didn’t fire me! Lol.” \nKen was always interested in music production as well\, and was fortunate to work with some of the most famous engineers and producers in music history. Along with the aforementioned legendary Michael Wagener and Andy Johns\, he also had the opportunity to work alongside Mac (Queen)\, Mick Guzauwski (Christina Aguilera\, Mariah Carey)\, and Desmond Child (Ricky Martin\, Aerosmith) just to name a few. He established a world class SSL recording facility\, SonicPhish Productions\, in 2003 that continues today\, most currently used to produce the new Fifth Angel album “The Third Secret” and much of the tracking for Flotsam and Jetsam’s “The End of Chaos” and “Flotsam and Jetsam.” A partial list of the companies and corporations SonicPhish Productions has worked for include RCA\, MCA\, Epic\, CBS\, Benson\, Roadrunner\, JVC\, Atlantic\, DGC\, BMG\, Relativity\, Organic\, Invincible\, Reunion\, Fox\, Universal\, EMI\, Zebra\, Provident\, Reunion\, Sony/BMG\, Suburban Noise\, BEC\, ABC Family\, Nuclear Blast and AFM Records.

SUMMARY:ALL ACCESS LIVE with POINT DEFIANCE'S LAMAR STILWELL
DESCRIPTION:Deep in the roots of Portland\, Oregon’s rock scene\, veteran rockstar Lamar Stilwell scorched the stages throughout the 90s and 2000s. Having toured extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest\, Lamar fronted Portland favorite’s “Grindstone” well over a decade before forming Seattle-area’s Point Defiance. That band continued to shine due to Stilwell’s hook-laden grit-rock\, catching the eye of Snoop Dogg and collaborating on a cover of David Bowie’s “Fame”\, filmed at the iconic Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills\, California. \nLamar continues to write his emotionally-driven power rock\, balancing that focus with his love and passion as a husband and father. We’ve done many gigs together in the Northwest\, and now we’ll reconnect to share his mindset and hear some of his new material in an intimate live environment. Fans of the “golden years” of Portland’s rock scene will love this meetup! \nSponsored by Five Star Guitars

SUMMARY:ALL ACCESS LIVE THANKSGIVING SPECIAL with BUCKET LIST REALIST SCöTT ENGLISH
DESCRIPTION:We’ve all had them: Bucket Lists. VERY FEW humans actively pursue checking off that list one by one\, determined to have that list exhausted by the time their last days are counted. But that’s just one small difference that separates Scött English from the rest of humanity. This man balances pursuits of his passion while providing light and support to families and children in need. SUMMARY:GREAT WHITE'S JACK RUSSELL JOINS ALL ACCESS LIVE (NEW DATE!)
DESCRIPTION:California native Jack Russell is a rock vocalist and songwriter\, and a founding member of early-’80s hard rock radio staples Great White. Citing influences like Robert Plant and Steven Tyler\, Russell spent his formative years fronting high-school bands. In 1977 he co-founded the band Danté Fox alongside guitarist Mark Kendall. In 1981 the band changed its name to Great White\, and in 1984 the group issued its eponymous debut album via EMI. Great White hit it big in 1987 with their third LP\, Once Bitten…\, which featured the hit single “Rock Me\,” and again in 1989 with …Twice Shy\, which included their chart-topping cover of Ian Hunter’s “Once Bitten Twice Shy.” Russell left the group in 1996 to pursue a solo career\, and released Shelter Me in 1999 via MVP Records. That same year saw Russell rejoin the band\, but by 2001 Great White had called it quits\, holding a farewell show on New Year’s Eve at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana\, California. \nThe following year saw Russell begin touring under the name Jack Russell’s Great White. By 2005\, the stress from lawsuits stemming from a tragic accident in a Rhode Island club\, inner band turmoil\, and Russell’s substance abuse problems had taken its toll\, and Jack Russell’s Great White ceased operations. The original lineup of Great White re-formed for a tour and released their tenth studio album\, Back to the Rhythm\, in 2007. Another studio LP\, Rising\, followed in 2009\, but it would be Russell’s last outing with the group. In 2011\, after a period of recuperation following multiple back surgeries stemming from a fall in 2009\, a newly sober Russell began operating once again under the Jack Russell’s Great White moniker. In 2017 the band released its debut studio album\, He Saw It Comin’\, via Frontiers Records.

SUMMARY:ON A LLAMA REVISITED
DESCRIPTION:In the mid-1990s\, a Portland\, Oregon trio took the alternative rock scene by force. Fronted by the eternally powerful voice and bass prowess of Lea Krueger\, On a Llama played nearly every venue in the Pacific Northwest. Supported by guitarist/songwriter Greg Kirkelie and Kevin Rankin on drums\, On a Llama amassed a fiercely loyal fan base\, sold thousands of full length albums (self-titled in 1995\, “Riddle Canon” in 1997) and left the music scene wanting more. \nDecades later\, I’m still asked often “whatever happened to…?”\, and it just seems appropriate to reflect on the story behind the recordings\, the incredible live shows\, aspirations for the members\, hilarious stories about the fans and supporters of the band\, and see if we all can’t enjoy the beauty of the phase that embodied that band. \nYou’ll hear unreleased tracks\, see some rare video performances and share conversations with lots of people involved with the band when you join us on Nov 16 at 5pm Pacific! \nSponsored by Five Star Guitars

SUMMARY:GETTING DOWN WITH TOSHA JONES
DESCRIPTION:From playing small\, smokey bars in southern Indiana\, to touring world wide with national music acts\, Los Angeles based heavy hitting drummer\, Tosha Jones\, quickly made a name for herself throughout the world’s music scene. At just the ripe age of three\, Tosha began expressing herself through music\, song\, and dance. In 1991 as a true drummer at heart\, Tosha joined her jr. high school band and eventually begged her parents for a real drum kit instead of playing on various pots and pans and her mother’s Tupperware. \nStemming from numerous garage bands and many Battle of the Band competitions throughout the Midwest\, Jones finally jumped ship from working multiple factory jobs in Indiana and saved up enough money to move to Los Angeles\, California as she immediately landed the Vans Warped Tour in 2008 with then\, all-female punk rockers\, The Randies. \nRespectfully\, after years of rejected auditions and trudging the streets of the Sunset Strip along Hollywood\, Jones found herself in various bands on the road opening for national rock acts such as Stone Sour\, Halestorm\, Seether\, & Skid Row\, while eventually landing a long tour stint playing drums for Grammy nominated rock band\, Saliva in March of 2018. As one of her personal career favorites\, Tosha was contacted by American Idol (2015) to play in an all-female drum line for contestant Tyanna Jones\, performing the song “Run The World” by Beyoncé. \nFast forward to Covid-19’s protocols and cancellations in 2019/2020\, and unfortunately like many other musicians finding themselves away from touring\, Jones was part of numerous collaboration videos online which includes Sheltering Sky’s Chuck Wright (Quiet Riot) in their 2021 Björk’s cover “Army of Me”\, and most recently “Throwin’ Stones”\, which hit on the recent attack of Ukraine. Jones was also featured in artist/singer\, Chloe Trujillo’s videos\, “Mana” and “The Heaviest Sound is Silence”. You can also find Tosha playing drums online in the star-studded cast for the David Z Foundation covering “Zombie”\, by Bad Wolves. \nIn December 2021\, Jones was asked to play drums on a few tour dates for alt rockers Carolina Liar\, best known for their hit songs “Show Me What I’m Looking For” and “I’m Not Over”. \nIn January of ‘22\, Jones received a last-minute call to bash the skins for the fresh hard rockers\, Black Satellite\, as they were direct support for Nita Strauss’s (Alice Cooper\, The Iron Maidens) 2022 Winter Wonderland Tour. \nIn Spring of ‘22\, Jones was invited to be a camp counselor for the famous Rock n Roll Fantasy Camp where iconic musicians such as Melissa Etheridge\, Nancy Wilson (Heart)\, and Kathy Valentine from The Go-Go’s were the special guests. \nSponsored by Five Star Guitars\, Rhythm Traders and Music Millennium

SUMMARY:LIVING COLOUR’S DOUG WIMBISH ROCKS ALL ACCESS LIVE WITH KEVIN RANKIN
DESCRIPTION:“I’m not just a Bass Player\, I’m a Sound System” \nAs bassist for the legendary rap label Sugarhill Records backing Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five to the pioneering Living Colour\, Doug Wimbish has lent his innovative and creative bass grooves and sounds to a roster of world-renowned musicians. Considered a pioneer in Hip-Hop bass playing and in the use of bass effects\, alternate tunings and extended hand techniques\, Doug’s mastery of the bass is unparalled. As one of the most versatile session and touring bassists in the industry\, Doug moves readily from pop and mainstream rock to hip-hop\, funk\, metal\, symphonic metal\, reggae\, R&B\, electronic\, world and experimental music. \nDoug Wimbish is probably best known as the cutting edge lead bassist in the Grammy Award-winning hard rock band Living Colour\, but looking beyond the obvious\, one quickly sees that Doug’s influence and impact on the world’s musical culture is much more vast and significant than often written or realized. \nGrandmaster Flash and The Furious Five’s “The Message”\, listed by Rollingstone.com as the #1 Greatest Hip Hop Song of all time\, featured Doug’s bass lines as do many other Sugarhill Records classics including “Apache”\, “8th Wonder” and “White Lines”. Wimbish wrote the bass line on The Sequence’s “Funk You Up”. \nTo get an idea of the respect Doug has earned within the music industry\, consider that in one week in 1991\, Doug received personal phone calls from Living Colour\, Bruce Springsteen and Seal\, all asking him to work with them. Doug made the decision to work with Living Colour and joined the band\, becoming its permanent bassist. He actively records and tours today with his band mates Vernon Reid\, Corey Glover and Will Calhoun. The group’s latest album\, “Shade”\, was released in September of 2017. \nIn addition to his work with Living Colour\, Doug’s highly regarded career spanning all musical genres has also included recording\, producing and touring with many world renowned artists including The Rolling Stones\, Mick Jagger\, Jeff Beck\, Joe Satriani\, Herb Albert\, Annie Lennox\, Madonna\, Carly Simon\, Seal\, Al Green\, Billy Idol\, George Clinton\, Depeche Mode\, Talib Kweli\, Kanye West\, James Brown\, Mos Def\, Tarja Turunen\, Ronnie Wood\, Freddie Jackson\, Michael Bolton\, Schiller\, Cheb Khaled\, Hari Haran and Peter Wolf\, to name a few. \nFrom his early days as one of Hip-Hop’s earliest architects in the Original Sugarhill Records Rhythm Section\, to his long-time membership in Living Colour\, TackHead\, Little Axe\, Jungle Funk\, HeadFake\, and then on to more recent collaborations including DMD the Vibes with Daru Jones & Marcus Machado\, Doug continues to prove himself as one of the world’s finest\, versatile and most sought after bass guitarists. \nSponsored by Music Millennium\, Rhythm Traders and Five Star Guitars

SUMMARY:JORDAN CANNATA JOINS ALL ACCESS LIVE
DESCRIPTION:In 2017\, Jordan joined the ranks of Century Media Records/Sony Music Entertainment artists\, Adrenaline Mob (a position formerly held by both Mike Portnoy and AJ Pero). Jordan was introduced as the new drummer for Adrenaline Mob with a drum solo video that received over 2.5 million views and is still climbing. Jordan’s debut album with Adrenaline Mob titled “We The People” was released in the summer of 2017. It debuted at #2 on the iTunes Metal Chart\, and #15 on the iTunes Rock Chart\, and was supported by a US headline tour. \nUnfortunately\, the tour ended in tragedy. A truck driver fell asleep behind the wheel and struck the band’s bus\, injuring the entire band and crew\, and killing bassist David Z and tour manager Janet Rains. After this accident\, Adrenaline Mob dis-banded and everyone needed time to heal. \nJordan was then asked to form a new band which is now known as Stereo Satellite which features Jordan\, his brother Jared Cannata on guitar\, singer Lukas Rossi (Rockstar Supernova)\, and bassist Erik Leonhardt (Tantric). In less than a year\, Stereo Satellite had opened for Bon Jovi\, played the Shiprocked Cruise alongside bands such as Stone Sour\, In This Moment\, Seether\, P.O.D.\, and Black Label Society. \nIn 2018\, Jordan also joined the ranks of two more bands; Sugarmore\, a group of musicians with a mixture of rock and theatrical backgrounds who create pop-fusion versions of modern hits\, as well as the band Voices of Extreme. Sugarmore’s focus is creating video content\, and has garnered 75\,000 views with their first two videos. With Voices of Extreme\, Jordan spent portions of 2018 and 2019 touring the US opening for Tesla. \nIn May of 2019 Jordan filled in for Johnny Dee and toured with Doro Pesch of Warlock for a co-headline tour with Metal Church alongside Chris Caffery (Trans-Siberian Orchestra\, Savatage)\, Tommy Bolan (Warlock)\, and Nick Douglas (Doro). \nAlso in 2019\, Jordan did two European tours with Dark Sky Choir. One of which was in support of Queensryche and Firewind. \nThe pandemic certainly put a hold on almost all musical activity\, but now in 2022\, Jordan is a member of Tokyo Motor Fist which features members of Trixter\, Danger Danger\, and Rainbow. Jordan also tours with multi-platinum artists Slaughter when their usual drummer Will Hunt is out with Evanescence. \nWhen Jordan isn’t on the road\, he also works as a studio musician and drum instructor. Jordan has his own top of the line studio which allows him to record for clients and teach students all over the world as well as traveling for studio sessions. Jordan has always loved sharing his passion for drums and enjoys passing his knowledge on to students of all ages and experience. \nWith multiple bands\, multiple recordings\, and multiple videos being released routinely\, Jordan is looking forward to what the future holds! \nIf you’re interested in hiring Jordan\, email him at info@jordancannata.com. \nJordan’s social media links are as follows:\nFacebook | Instagram | YouTube | Official Website \nBrought to you by Rhythm Traders\, Five Star Guitars and Music Millennium

SUMMARY:ALL ACCESS LIVE WITH JOHN NEFF
DESCRIPTION:Portland resident recently retired from a very long\, productive\, and fascinating career in music and recording. John started playing guitar at the age of 10 while growing up in Pontiac\, Michigan. He formed The Ascots at 14\, writing and recording the garage-rock classic “So Good”\, hanging out with future Detroit-based rock stars Bob Seger\, Alice Cooper\, Ted Nugent\, and the MC5\, and opening for groups like the Turtles\, the Who\, Shades of Blue\, and the Capitols. \nTwo more groups followed – The Tribe and Toad and the Mushroom – before he got a steady job playing guitar in Motown/Stax producer Don Davis’s house band\, backing some very big names such as Curtis Mayfield\, Isaac Hayes\, Mary Wells\, the Spinners\, and Billy Paul. From there\, he played bass guitar for Steppenwolf in the late 70s\, then with Hoyt Axton and Redeye. \nIn 1979\, John quit the music business\, for the time being\, married\, and moved to Maui. He was asked to deejay at a local radio station\, and that turned into a popular and long-running morning show. John was there for the birth of Jawaiian music\, a mix of Jamaican reggae\, Hawaiian pop\, and a touch of Motown soul. \nWhile living on Maui\, John met Steely Dan’s Walter Becker and partnered with him to build a recording studio. There he worked as audio engineer on Becker’s solo album “11 Tracks of Whack” and again on Donald Fagen’s “Kamakiriad”. \nAfter a stint in Phoenix running his own recording studio. John moved to Los Angeles and collaborated with filmmaker David Lynch on the soundtrack and audio for The Straight Story\, Mulholland Drive\, and Inland Empire. He also did the sound mix for DVD releases of Lynch’s Blue Velvet\, Wild at Heart\, and Eraserhead. \nFrom L.A.\, John moved to Portland to be closer to family. And here he built and ran a sound studio called The Lab. John retired\, or so he claims\, just a few months ago. But music’s in his blood\, and he continues to take on a few production gigs while also playing bass in the Portland band Christie Josef and the Purpose. \nBrought to you by Rhythm Traders\, Five Star Guitars and Music Millennium
